The Story
Bad Apple Orchard came out of the rat rod scene — not a studio. Based in Daytona, Florida, every piece is designed and built by hand for the people who live this culture: the builders, the shops, and the crowds that show up when the rods roll in.
From patina shop signs to custom show trophies, nothing is mass-produced and nothing is made twice. If it hangs on your wall or sits in your shop, it's the only one like it anywhere.
Bad Apple proudly supports rat rod shops across the country and hosts an annual rat rod event during Daytona Bike Week every spring.
Behind the Torch
Every rat rod show tells the same story — something junked, brought back, and made to matter again. Spend enough weekends around that and it gets into the work whether you plan on it or not: the primer-gray trucks, the shops building with whatever's left in the scrapyard, the crews who show up rain or shine.
That's where Bad Apple's whole approach comes from. Rust isn't a flaw to sand out — it's proof something survived. Every mismatched bolt and hand-cut edge on a rat rod is a design decision the culture already made. Bad Apple just borrows that logic for steel signs, tees, and trophies instead of trucks.
